Course Description: Attendees will get an overview of standards and laws related to disaster preparedness. An essential records plan can help an organization resume operations followingany type of disaster. You will learn how to identify and prioritize essential records, assess risks to essential records, and protect essential records. Attendees will hear about resources and templates that can increase your level of readiness.

Bio: Matt Brown is a Senior Records Management Analyst at the Oregon State Archives. He regularly presents records management best practices to public officials in cities, counties, state agencies, and specialdistricts across Oregon. Matt is a Certified Records Manager, and has a Master’s in Library and Information Science, and a Master’s in History.
